It is said that his family has the tradition of research into geography for generations. Up to the time of Chen Fuxin, he has studied many works regarding astronomy and geography in depth and composed the book Yang Ming An Suo in his last years as the family heirloom. During the period when Yuan dynasty was change into Ming dynasty, this book has been preserved in basement where it was damaged for moisture. Chen Hanqing cherished this book so much that he recomposed this book from his memory merely. After many years’ effort, he finally had the separate volumes combined into this edition which generally grasped the main points of this book. |
