| 内容简介（中文） | 陈洪绶（公元一五九八－一六五二年），浙江诸暨人。字章侯，号老莲。甲申后自称悔迟，又曰勿迟。人物花鸟虫无不精妙，皆能自出机杼。所作人物躯干伟岸，容貌威猛，线条扭曲宛若绕指柔钢，饶有奇趣，而又不失尺度。 先钩勒轮廓，后赋色。既用金笺为底色，秋葵之白，白中透淡绿、紫红，叶子之蓝、绿，用色丰富，景物也满布画面，彩蝶蜜蜂飞舞其间，秋日之明艳照人，一见心中为之爽乐。 本幅为花卉画册第一幅。 |

Ch’en Hung-shou (style name Chang-hou and sobriquet Lao-lien) came from a gentry family in Chu-chi, Chekiang. A gifted poet, calligrapher, and painter, he held an honorary academic title but refused to serve as a court painter. With the fall of the Ming dynasty in 1644, he went into retirement and associated with other Ming loyalists and artists, later becoming a Buddhist monk. His paintings of figures, birds-and-flowers, and landscapes are all refined and display his own distinct style. In this folding fan mounted as an album leaf, the forms were first outlined with brush strokes and then filled in with color. Depicted on the decorative golden paper background are large whitish blossoms of autumn hibiscus lightly shaded with green and violet. The leaves are bluish-green in color. Indeed, the use of colors is luxuriant as the motifs fill the surface of the painting. Colorful butterflies and bees fly about the blossoms. One look at this colorful scene of flowers on an autumn day brings a sense of peace and nostalgia to the heart of the viewer. |

Chen Hongshou (style name Zhanghou, sobriquet Laolian), a native of Zhuji in Zhejiang, took the name Huichi (“Regretting Late”) and Wuchi (“No Regrets”) after the fall of the Ming. His figures, birds-and-flowers, and landscapes are all refined, displaying his unique style. This is the first leaf from “Album of Flower Paintings,” with forms first outlined in brush strokes and then filled with colors.
